Established in 1948, Lenhart Electric exists to serve the community by providing quality service with a commitment to excellence. Over the years, we’ve expanded our capabilities, building on our proven expertise and outstanding reputation along the way.
Lenhart Electric
Lenhart Electric was established in 1948 by A.C. Lenhart. The company expanded, diversifying our services and making a few moves to larger facilities.
By 1962, Lenhart continued to grow with a focus on commercial wiring and appliance sales. A.C.’s son, James C. Lenhart, began managing the company in 1971.
Continual Growth
In 1981, a new building was erected on top of Newell Hill Road, and we continued to prosper, expanding into the telephone, home security, and wireless communications industries. In 1998, the company sold the last of its companion companies to focus on its thriving electrical department.
Kelly Lenhart, A.C.’s grandson, and his wife, Stephanie Lenhart, began working at Lenhart in the 80s and 90s, eventually partnering with In Charge Electrical Services to achieve further success.
To serve a growing customer base in The Villages®, Lenhart relocated to Wildwood in 2005, eventually opening an 11,200 sq. ft. facility. Over the years, Lenhart has continued to prosper. We now have four locations in Florida, adding Orlando, Fort Myers, and Jacksonville to the list.
Three Generations
Coming from humble beginnings and now boasting over 75 years in the electrical industry, we’re proud to be a leader in the community. We continue to be steadfast in doing what is right for our employees, company, and customers, promoting the same culture instilled by three generations of Lenharts.
